The Road Maintenance theme first appeared in 2021 in the 5 Pack/Set series on the 2016 Ram Flatbed pickup in light yellow. This model later became one of the most frequently repeated vehicles in various sets. In the same year, the Road Stripe King was also introduced in the basic range, featuring the same logo but in a dark orange color.

In 2022, the Road Roller was released, followed by the Highway Maintenance Truck in 2023, both as part of the basic range.

However, from 2023, a new theme, Matchbox Construction, began to dominate. It shares a similar design, with a strong focus on orange, but its rapid expansion has completely overshadowed Road Maintenance. Since then, no new models have been released under the Road Maintenance theme.
