Adventure Pack 1998 continues the popular Action System Pack series from 1997 but introduces a new name, a more attractive packaging, and updated content in some sets. It features five themed 2-packs.
Two sets, Fire Rescue and Safari, remain unchanged from the previous year. The Mining set includes the same vehicles but with a new color scheme. Roadside Assistance thematically follows Mechanic, yet introduces completely new models. The final set, World Cup Soccer, was released to celebrate the 1998 FIFA World Cup held in France.
